Apollo Tyres shares plunged as much as 20 per cent on Thursday, a day after the company announced a $2.5 billion (Rs. 14,500 crore) deal to acquire U.S.-based Cooper Tire & Rubber.
Apollo Tyres traded 17 per cent lower at Rs. 76.75 on the Bombay Stock Exchange as of 09.45 a.m. against a 1 per cent fall in the broader Sensex. The stock hit a low of Rs. 73.55 in early trade.
