Assets disposal may benefit JP associates

Jaiprakash Group's flagship company Jaiprakash Power, will sell its two hydropower plants to a grouping led by Abu Dhabi government-owned utility Taqa for $1.8-2 billion (Rs 11,500-12,500 crore) as part of an asset-disposal plan aimed at trimming a part of the group's Rs 60,000 crore debt. 

Previous disposals 

Sold cement plants in Gujarat to Aditya Birla Group's UltraTech for Rs 3,800 crore
Jaypee Infratech sold 300 acres of land in Noida for Rs 1,500 crore to Gaursons.

Negotiating 


 It is said to have started negotiations with ACC, a subsidiary of global cement giant Holcim, and others to sell its controlling stake in two cement plant Bokaro and Bhilai with a combined capacity of 4.3 million tonnes .We recommend to buy JP associates for March
